New Brunswick, NJ (March 14, 2005) --The Cystic Fibrosis Center at The Children's Hospital at Saint Peter's University Hospital will present "New Perspectives, New Strategies...A Family Day Conference" on Sunday, April 3, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The conference will be held in the hospital's Sister Marie de Pazzi Conference Center, ground floor, 254 Easton Avenue. Cystic Fibrosis (CF) has been recognized for almost 70 years, and treatment has undergone remarkable progress, especially over the past two decades. Advances in research are making the future brighter for those with CF. Parents, families and friends of those who have CF will hear from specialists in the treatment of CF during a morning program of information and support. Topics include: the disease and its complications, what's new on the treatment front and recent advances in CF research. Healthcare professionals, school nurses and teachers are welcome and encouraged to attend the conference. The program is coordinated by the Cystic Fibrosis Center at Saint Peter's Children's Hospital with Nelson Turcios, M.D., director, Pediatric Pulmonology, and Felecia Bowen, A.P.R.N., B.C.
